Safta's Paella

A Friday night favourite. The whole family loves it. You can also customise this to add in or substitute out whatever ingredients you want. Enjoy!

Serves 8


  • Chopped onion
  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • 1 can of baby peas
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • Chicken pieces 
  • 2 cups of Basmati rice 
  • 4 cups of water
  • Chicken stock powder
  • Paella pan



1. Sear chicken pieces and remove from pan

2. Satay onions and garlic in paella pan

3. When glazed, add 2 cups of rice

4. Coat rice with the olive oil

5. Add canned tomatoes and peas 

6. Add 4 cups of water and chicken stock powder

7. Bring to boil

8. Put chicken on top

9. Put in the oven at 180 degrees until chicken is brown and all moisture is absorbed
